The Ivy Ratings are categorial assessments conducted at the individual school, faculty, or department level within an educational institution. These ratings evaluate specific 10 broad areas of performance to assign "Level 1 to Level 5" to each assessed parametric-entity. The qualifying 'School/Faculty/Department' will be awarded a certificate specifying their overall maturity level, ranging from Level 1 to Level 5, in the Excellence Scale.

The Ivy Ratings

Eligibility

Any fully-operational department, school, or faculty of a recognized college or university is eligible to apply for Ivy Ratings. This includes departments within colleges and universities offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. For instance, School of Computer Science and Engineering or Department of Computer Science, can apply for Ivy Ratings.

K-12 schools have the option to apply for individual subject-wise ratings or a cluster of subjects. For example, schools can opt for subject-wise ratings in subjects such as sports, arts and humanities, physics, etc., or choose to be rated based on a stream or a cluster of subjects, such as science, commerce, arts, agriculture - streams / disciplines.

Exclusion and Non-Eligible Institutions

Medical Programs and Related Subjects: Institutions offering medical programs or subjects directly leading to a medicinal degree are excluded from eligibility for Ivy Ratings. This includes medical schools, colleges, or departments offering programs such as medicine, surgery, pharmacy, and nursing.

Spiritual and Religious Programs/Degrees: Institutions offering programs or degrees solely focused on spiritual or religious education are not eligible for Ivy Ratings. This includes institutions offering degrees in theology, religious studies, divinity, or any other programs primarily focused on spiritual or religious teachings.

K-12 Schools Below Grade 8/Secondary Level: K-12 schools below Grade 8 or the secondary level are deemed ineligible for Ivy Ratings.

Non-Compliance: Institutions that fail to comply with regulatory standards and requirements set forth by relevant accrediting bodies or government authorities are not eligible for Ivy Ratings. Programs or institutions with ethical or legal concerns, including those involved in academic misconduct, fraudulent practices, or violations of professional standards, may be excluded from eligibility for Ivy Ratings based on the discretion of the assessment body.
